300km North of the Arctic Circle and a few days in Tiger City

Second Stop during our European adventure was Tromso, Norway. Tromso is a fishing town in the far north of Norway, situated 300km North of the Arctic Circle. Pretty Cold, -4 most days and -11 in the evenings. Tromso has some of the most spectacular scenary I've ever seen. A thick blanket of snow coats everything as far as the eye can see and Mountains that start at sea level and ascend almost immediately toward the sky. I feel like none of my pictures really do the place any justice but hopefully you can get the idea. One evening we were lucky enough to see the Northern lights in a (smaller) town even (further) north than Tromso at a place called Mikkelvik. We stood around in the freezing darkness for a few hours and then suddenly we were treated to an on and off again show of green in the night sky. Happy to check that one off the Bucket list.
Moving South now, we spent a few days in Oslo, or Tiger City as it has been nicknamed. Oslo is a city, a cold one, and to be honest, like many others I've been too before. I however, definitely can not deny them of their visible and interesting subcultures and the cites general "hip" vibe . I would have liked a few more days to discover these things but Iceland was calling. Enjoy.
