Melbourne
A few weeks ago Myself, Amanda, Sam, Cam and Brooke took a trip to Melbourne. I took some time out to walk the back alleys and streets with my camera to get a glimpse of Melbourne through a lens. I got way too many photos to post so here a few. enjoi.

Melbourne City 3:15pm

Horses

St Pauls Cathedral

Inside the cathedral,I like the pentagrams half way up on either side of the photo??

On our way to Melbourne Zoo, it was so foggy and about 7.5 degrees until about 12pm. Thats the sun shining through.

wires and fog

Orangutans are clearly the best animals ever invented.

Anyone who has been to Melbourne will know that every alley and lane way is covered in Graffiti. Its Awesome, I wish the Gold Coast had some form of artistic culture instead of pink shirts and roids.

The Matador
To cut a long story short, about 5 years ago...maybe 4, I don't know, me and my buddy Sam started a band called The Matador. At first we didn't know what the fuck we were doing, The band had mixed Musical Direction and endured about 75 line up changes. Two years ago when Dan, Johnny and Mr Hobbins came on board, shit started to get real. After 5 years, about a thousand shows and 4 billion jams i decided to jump ship, not because of any musical difference or personality clash, but just because it was time for me to leave. Scott Reid (ASD) took my spot in a jiffy and began twangin and doomin with The Matador. Anywho, the fuckers got me outta bed at 4:30am and dragged me to the beach to shoot a photo or two. Even though I'm no longer in the band, when I look at these photos it reminds me of certain parts and riffs in certain songs which i got to play over the years....which is cool i guess.

Jessica
Everyone meet Jessica, Jessica meet everyone. I met Jessica for the first time yesterday, It probably seems weird, bordering on creepy, that some random dude would ask a random girl to shoot some photos of her in his random house, but like a good dudette, Jess happily obliged and I fumbled around with my camera for half an hour and got a few good shots. Thanks again to Jessica for helpin me out.

Birth of the day
I woke up at about 5:20am this morning and decided to walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. There wasnt much light but it made for a better photo anyway. It such a weird time of day that early, its still dark and the foot paths are over run by people who appear to be no younger than 70. Miami rocks 6:17am & 6:30am

Sammy Boy
This is my friend Sam, Sam is one of my oldest and best friends. Me and Sam have played in bands together since like forever, Lived with each other and probably drunk about 600000000000000000000 cans of rum together. I asked Sam if I could shoot some photos of him and he said yes, obviously. Listen to sams band at www.myspace.com/thematadornoise

Drugs are bad mmmmmmmmmK
I have a phobia of standing on a used syringe, I never go bare foot and always seem to see some kind of intravenous drug paraphernalia where ever i go. I was lurkin around the lake near my house where there are some drainage tunnels. I was actually just looking for some shit graffiti, you know the graffiti you look at and laugh, something like a badly sprayed cock or some lame payout to some dude who will never read it. I spied a discarded needle laying on the ground and snapped a quick photo of it, what I didn't notice until i looked through my camera was a dude chillen in the tunnel who I think was huffing paint. Burleigh Drains must be the place to get wasted. YUUUK

'ode to Hank III
Today i got tattooed by tattooist extraordinaire Matt Howse. I met Matt about 4 years ago when he did a guest spot at Borderline Tattoos. Matt works out of Spider Murphys tattoo in San Rafael in San Fransisco. Matt is a totally rad dude, awesome tattooist/artist and just a top bloke to have around. I urge any of you if you get the opportunity to get tattooed by Matt Howse, don't hesitate.

So awhile ago it came up that Tattoo, art and lifestyle magazine POST MODERN INK was looking for budding photographers to submit their work for possible publication. I eagerly submitted a few of my tattoo related images i have shot, and got a reply that one of my photos was to be published in the next issue. Not only was i stoked when i got my hands on a copy i almost fell over backwards in the newsagent. Go grab a copy!
